Who is Mary Amoako?

In 2021, I was introduced to the world of UX Design. I was intrigued although mainly became concerned about the seamlessness of the transition into technology with a degree in psychology.

After researching the expectations and requirements of a UX designer, I entered the Thinkful Bootcamp in 2022. The accelerated course challenged my computer abilities and provided me with tools to produce workable deliverables and improve with software such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Color, and Google Slides. I was drawn to the pillars of design that captured the most important aspects of the user experience. This included delving into accessibility and inclusion for all users.

For example, features such as text size and color should be considered to provide the optimal experience for someone who would have issues with reading smaller text. Keeping these issues in mind while designing ensures the most inclusive experience, producing the most users for a product. Ultimately, what stakeholders and designers strive for.

I believe identifying the main points of frustration initiates the UX process, by fully framing the importance of a solution and the needed steps to conclude and iterate multiple products and deliverable concepts.

As I continue with my UX journey, I hope to learn and grow from every project and opportunity I am a part of. I hope to create major contributions and revolutionary ideas to society that revolutionize the user experience and eventually, the world.
